If you’re looking for a delicious smoothie treat that is perfect for the mood of the month, then look no further as this recipe not only looks the part, but packs some fun filled nutritional ingredients that are sure to set the mood.

This recipe features several fruits that have known ingredients attributed to romance. Pomegranate, for example has been looked upon as a symbol of love and fertility for hundreds of years all the way back to ancient Greece.

Two other great and well known fruits for love that are in this delicious smoothie include cherries and strawberries.

This one makes a fun filled delicious Valentine’s Day treat that can serve as a wonderful romantic dessert, or just a fun drink for the kids as they head out for school in the morning.

Cupid’s Arrow Valentine’s Day Smoothie Recipe

1 ½ milk (substitute almond milk or soy milk if needed)
1 ripe banana

½ cup frozen pomegranate seeds
½ cup frozen strawberries
½ cup frozen or fresh cherries

Add ice as needed for thickness (I use about ¼ cup if I’m using fresh fruits and none if I’m using frozen banana)

Mixing Instructions: Toss all ingredients into your blender and blend to desired consistency
