If you’ve ever had the opportunity to enjoy spinach and artichoke dip over at Applebee’s, then you know just how delicious it is. I know that I can rarely resist the temptation myself of ordering it as an appetizer just about every single time I visit the restaurant.
I’m sure that the hot tortilla chips also don’t help make the temptation any easier.
This recipe is a very close match to that wonderful flavor and it’s sure to be a BIG hit at your next game day party.
Be warned that this one can be a bit habit forming and you may quickly find yourself making it many other times aside from game days!
My wife actually will serve this one quite often for holiday parties and family get-togethers as well. It makes a great quick appetizer that almost everyone will enjoy.
- 1 box frozen chopped spinach, thawed (go with a 10 oz. container on this one)
- 1 can artichoke hearts, drained and roughly chopped (14 oz. seems to be best)
- 1 cup shredded parmesan-romano cheese mix
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 10 oz alfredo sauce
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 4 ounces softened cream cheese
- ½ tsp of ground black pepper (change this per your taste)
Place all ingredients in your blender and blend until well mixed. Use a spatula to spread mixture into a small baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. When the mix starts bubbling, it’s ready to enjoy!
Pro Tips: This is a very thick mix and I have found that it requires you to either use your tamper or a spatula depending on what blender you are using. For our top blender picks, click here.
This recipe is a game day staple in many homes. I know that I really enjoy this one and I’m sure that you and your family will agree that it’s a very close match to the tried and true Applebees’ favorite.
