If there’s one important warning that I can issue you for your upcoming Super Bowl party, it’s to prevent public embarrassment and keep your wings from flying around naked. That’s right, it’s always important to make certain that your wings are fully dressed and this recipe for a great homemade ranch dressing is sure to do the trick.
I know, wings are typically served with blue cheese dressing, and that’s exactly how my wife prefers them to be dressed. I personally like the taste of this homemade house ranch dressing as I’ve never really been one to enjoy the aftertaste of blue cheese anything.
If you’re more of a blue cheese person, you can find that recipe outfit over here. If you’re more of a rancher, well then you can roundup your wings and smother em in the clothing choice below.
- 1 cup mayo
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp dried chives
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp dried dill weed
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp canola oil
- Dash of your favorite hot sauce
Directions: Place all ingredients in your blender and pulse a couple of times, then blend until well mixed and smooth. Pour into a large container and store in the fridge until needed.
This is my dressing of choice for the Kickin Kickoff Honey Barbecue Wings mentioned previously. The two combined create a game day nirvana that should really be outlawed.
Pro Tips: For a really great tasting dressing, mix this up a couple of hours early and place it in the fridge. This allows for a bit of marinating time and really lets the subtle garlic flavor pop. For a more thorough blend, check out our top recommended blenders here.
Remember that it’s important to always ensure your wings aren’t naked. It’s not a pretty picture and no one wants to see it. Just remember, naked wings will kill a party pretty quick.
