Making delicious ice creams at home from fresh or frozen fruits and your own other ingredients is a wonderful way to enjoy your blender much more. Sometimes, the consistency just doesn’t turn out right. Hopefully after reading this, you have a little bit more of an understanding on just how to make ice cream in the Vitamix 6300 and get that delicious creamy texture that you’re craving.
If you’re finding that no matter what you do your ice cream blends are turning out to be more liquid than cream, then there are a few simple tricks that you can do to create that creamy texture you’re looking for.
- Add more ice – The very first thing that I like to do if I find my fresh blended ice cream to be a bit on the runny side is to begin adding additional ice. Typically, I will put my fresh fruits such as strawberries, bananas, blueberries, or whatever I happen to be in the mood for into the blender first. Then, I will fill the remainder of the jar with whole frozen ice cubes. This will normally create a perfectly creamy freshly prepared ice cream. The downside to this can be a slight loss of flavor. If you experience a slight loss of flavor, proceed to tip number two.
- Freeze your fruits before blending – if you find the flavor of your ice cream to be a bit bland by using ice, then there is a very simple solution for you. Take your fruits the night before you plan to make ice cream and place them in the freezer. By doing this you can quickly blend your fruits into a creamy texture, resulting in a sorbet. Another great option if you are craving more of a true ice cream texture is to use frozen berries and just a little bit of milk. This will result in a delicious berry flavored ice cream in seconds.
