If you’ve been looking for a blender for any time at all then you have most likely already heard of Vitamix. The Vitamix Company makes some of the top performing blenders on the market and only one other true competitor, Blendtec, can really hold a candle to their performance. Simply looking for a Vitamix blender is no simple task as there are a lot of different models offered by the company. Two models that are considered to be entry-level units are the Vitamix 6300 and the Vitamix 5200. What are the differences in the Vitamix 6300 vs the 5200?
More Similar Than Different
Both the Vitamix 5200 and the 6300 have the same motor, included jar, 7 year full coverage warranty, and footprint dimensions on your countertop.
Both units literally offer the same EXACT power when it comes to making your smoothies, ice creams, soups, and other blended items.
As far as performance, you will find both of these blenders to be superior. So what is the difference between the Vitamix 5200 and 6300?
Revealing the Difference Between the Vitamix 5200 and 6300
There are really only two differences between these two blenders.
First, the Vitamix 6300 is almost $200 more expensive! What, $200, but why??!! Well, that brings us to the second difference. The Vitamix 6300 features 3 pre-programmed settings for smoothies, frozen foods (ice cream), and hot soups.
These pre-programmed options do allow you to actually put your ingredients in and walk away while the blender does the work. This makes them very nice to have if you’re in a hurry and want a smoothie on the go to take with you on your way to work in the morning.
Do You Really Need These Pre-Programmed Cycles?
This is entirely up to you as the consumer. Keep in mind, you are going to have your blender for at least 7 years as Vitamix promises your blender will last that long with their warranty, so don’t dismiss it immediately.
To pay that price for such a simple difference does certainly sound silly at first mention, but many customers actually do report wishing they had opted for it initially after owning their machines for around 6 months.
The choice is entirely up to you as to whether or not the investment is worth it. Honestly, both of these machines offer superior long-term performance that will pay for itself quickly if you enjoy using them.
